The Ancient and Sovereign Egyptian Rite of Mizraïm and Memphis is a Hermetic Masonic Order whose aim is to bring mankind to Illumination or Gnosis of their own Divinity, by the aid of our Initiations, Doctrines and Theurgical, Magical & Alchemical Practices as it was successfully performed by the past Masters of our Order and the Greco-Egyptian Tradition.
Our Order & Rite derives and is a legitimate heir, from the Initiatory legacies of the Misraïm of Naples & of Venice, and of the Memphis of Palermo, of Montauban.

History
The Ancient and Sovereign Egyptian Rite of Mizraim and Memphis is a Hermetic Masonic Order. It is the result of the fusion of the esoteric process of the Egyptian Rite or Rite of Misraim that came from Venice in 1801 and the Oriental Rite or Rite of Memphis that came in 1839 in Paris, and it was created under a new banner that worked through the degrees of Misraim from its beginning, including the Initiations and Rites of the Oriental Rite.

![The astral body, or body of the stars, is our immortal and heavenly winged soul-principle. It is not bound to the physical body and leaves it every night to travel through the planetary spheres to the stars, whence it also returns upon the death of the physical body. The Neoplatonist Proclus called it the immortal vessel of the soul. We can experience its reality when our self-consciousness is separated from the body in an astral projection, and also in how difficult it is to maintain the experience of the self and not drift into a dream or back to the body. It is nourished by the principle of the moon and it is connected to the guardian of the threshold; a psychoid being who protects and tests the “I” as it explores the mysteries of the soul. The voice and conviction of the conscience characterise the existence in which the astral body experiences itself; in dreams, at the moment of death and in the beyond. In dream life, it is the most transcendent or archetypal dreams that affect the astral being, which is why in Jungian anatomy it corresponds to the sphere of the personal unconscious. In Christian symbolism, the purification of the astral body corresponds to the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan, and its refinement to Jesus’s wandering in the wilderness.
[In Egyptian myth is when Seth is trapping Osiris in the casket and throws him in the river Nile.]
